Welcome Baby Kayla

It has been over 1 month since Kayla is born. Mummy had a hard time delivering you and the recovery was slow. There is still some treatment to be done. Hope that Mummy will recover real soon.

You brought laughter to the family. Your smile brightens our days though we do not have sufficient sleep from the night feeding.

You are 5 weeks old and we brought you for development assessment and your 2nd hepatitis B jab yesterday. Gosh, you gained 2kg within a month and doctor mentioned that on average, you should gain 1kg for the first month. Hmm... Luckily you are not over-weight.

After your bath yesterday, Mummy was dressing you up and you were grouchy and Mummy winded your musical mobile and wanted to distract your attention. Mummy asked whether you like bear bear and to my surprised, you said "LIKE". Grandma also heard it from far. We were laughing away. Mummy told Daddy what happened when he got home and he couldn't believe it.

Hope that Baby Kayla will be healthy, happy and be good... Love you...

Maternity Leave Commences...

Baby, it's mummys first day of maternity. Was thinking that I could at least have a week's rest before your arrival. But Dr Ho told us on Friday that our next appointment is on Tuesday, 27 Jul 10 and would induce the labour on 28 Jul 10!

You should look at how delighted your Daddy looked that day. He had always wanted you to share the same birthday with him. *Faint*

Mummy is a bit scared. You know Mummy is afraid of pain. Even a little prick on finger for blood test or the thought of needles just makes Mummy's face looks pale.

Just hope that everything will go well and painless and looking forward to see Baby. Wonder if Baby really looks like Mummy like what Dr Ho said when he saw the clearer scan of Baby's face a few weeks back. Baby, you are really active and strong. Kept kicking no-stop wondering what you were doing. Most of your CTG scans showed that your heartbeat is a bit fast. Cool down, I guess Baby will be a sport-woman when you grow up. But I prefer a lady-liked gal gal...

Still got some loose ends to tie up before you arrive. Got to make your bed/cot. See you soon and be good ok? Luv ya, Baby...

Bad Cough

Mummy hasn't been well for the past 2-3 weeks. Have been coughing for a long time and it was so bad that the both sides of Mummy's back were in pain.

It was so bad that I couldn't get up from bed on Monday. The pain was unbearable till I cried. Was uncertain whether it was a sprain in the back or I broke my back... It was really scary.

Lucky, it is over now. Just that my back is still in pain... Hope I will recover soon...

Craving... "Old School Cream Cake"

Mummy had craving for "Old School Cream Cake" last week but could find it in Toa Payoh... Guess what? Daddy went to Aljunied to buy it and delivered to Mummy's office!! :)

I don't like taking MRT when I am pregnant

Baey... Daddy is having meeting tonight, so Mummy has to take MRT back home... As usual, people don't give up seats when they see pregnant Mummy... some pretended they didn't see... the worst thing is that even when they took the priority seats, they won't give up seats!

Well, Mummy also give a damn for the seat.... but I was happy because a nice lady actually asked a guy to give up the priority seat! Hahaha! It's good to know that there are nice souls around...

But, I think guys aren't sensitive about these.... From the past experiences, all the seats that were given up to me were by the ladies! They are more understanding....

Week 26

Babe is 26 weeks!! Went for medical appointment yesterday and Babe is estimated to be 1 kg! But mum already put on 11 kg!! It's getting closer to meeting Babe!! :)

Stocking up... Clothes, diapers and others

Lucky baby, you have so many people buying stuffs for you. Aunty Jamie bought so many Carter's rompers for you, mostly pink and green... Mum's favourite colours ;p These are all the clothes that are more colourful for you to wear for outings (from Daddy,Mummy and Aunty Jamie)....


Daddy and Mummy went to Vivo last weekend and saw another cute Carter's romper... It says "all mommy wants for christmas is a silent night". So funny... Daddy insisted on buying it.


What else? Daddy and Mummy met Uncle Edwin and Aunty Shandy at Spring Maternity at Vivo.

Yesterday after work, Daddy and Mummy went for dinner at Old Town. Mummy had a chicken rendang and didn't dare to eat too much chillies ~ was wondering how will the chillies affect baby... Will you feel the spicyness of the chillies? Rite, all because of having too much chicken meat and coffee that Mummy had a bad cough and couldn't sleep last night. Had to see doctor this morning. Haiz... So tired! Doctor Tan gave Mummy 2 days' MC!!

Straight after dinner last night, Daddy and Mummy headed to Kiddy Place to buy those necessities for baby cos Mummy could feel the weight in the tummy and might not have the stamina to shop for long as time passes... Better get the majority of the stuffs stocked up... It's better to get things ready in advance... Mummy just dislikes doing things the last minute.

Baby's Combi Pushchair was here this Saturday too!! Our house is getting smaller... Look at the big box in the bedroom.


Oh ya, baby is so precious that most of the things that Daddy selected are those more expensive range... Baby has got organic bath and shampoo that is more expensive than the regular baby brands...


Baby's drawers are getting too full.... won't be able to stuff in more... see all the stocks in there!

Baby First Books...

Baey, Mummy is having back pain and legs-ache again. It's the weight pressing on Mum's nerves again. Must be due to the long hours of sitting in the office - Mummy is rushing to clear work and tender reports for 5 tenders. No more medication for the nerves relief and Mummy was real desperate. Had no choice but to take the painkiller Dr Ho prescribed to Mummy for headaches.

Felt better today. Met up with Uncle Harris for the investment review at Anchorvale Mac for breakfast and headed to JL Mega Expo Sale.

The first few things that got Mummy attention were Sanrio baby toothbrush! Too early to buy for Baey... So Mummy bought some Sanrio L-folders instead. Then, there were lots of book for Baey. Bought 6 books for Baey (Daddy was asking Mummy not to stress you). Omg, Mummy is not stressing you, just buying for Baey since we saw the books and they are good for Baey's learning in a few months' time :) Other then books for Baey, there is a book on "Nutritious Food for Baby and Toddler". Good for Mummy to learn on what food to give Baey at the right time.

After dinner at California Pizza, Daddy and Mummy went to Borders and bought a few magazines on babycare and a Nursery Rhythms Book for Baey. Daddy will read to Baey soon ok?

Okie, Baey be good and don't kick Mummy too hard and cause any pain or discomfort to Mummy ok? Love ya! :*

Heartburn again :s

Baey, Mum is having heartburn again yesterday. Was at work and my gastric and chest felt a bit weird. So before it got worse, I took my medication a few minutes after I reached my office.

It didn't get better. Tried to hang on but the pain got worsen I had no choice but to visit Dr Ho. Gosh, the bill was expensive. There goes my $140!! Not only heartburn now but heartache too.

Was on mc for 3 days last week due to sore eyes and I only went to office for 1 day last week. I still have my tender reports to settle but I couldn't concentrate because of the pain. The pain was unbearable that I had to "numb" myself by sleeping.

Hope there will be no more heartburn in future. I dread that feeling.

Sydney Mix 106.5 + Royal Easter Show

Mummy is down with sore eyes and stayed at home for the past 2 days. But the sore didn't go away and it spread to the other eye.

When to see the doctor again and got a 2 days' mc! It's so boring at home and Mummy decided to listen to Mix 106.5 via the internet. Really miss the days when I listened to the radio station. It was my favourite radio station when I was in Sydney 10 years ago! Gosh, it has been 10 years! I can't believe it! Time really flies!

It's gonna be Good Friday soon and I remembered that there will be Royal Easter Show in Sydney!! Daddy loves & misses the Easter Show so much that he would remind me that he wants to go to EASTER SHOW! I want to buy the Showbags!

Visited the official website of the Easter Show and saw so many showbags to choose from. Nah, we will be going to the Easter Show sometime, maybe a few years later when you grow up and we can enjoy the show together. I bet you will love it! Maybe we wait till you are 4 or 5? Urgh, that's will be quite sometime away from now...

Names, Names, Names

Baey, what name should we give you. Have been seaching and cracking our heads and the names that we have shortlisted are already used by our friends. Hmm... Can you let us know what name you prefer? We love a name a lot but it's already my friend's baby's name!! How??

Green Bean Husks Pillows

Dad & Mum went to Hospital Tour today. The environment is cosy and nice (a bit scary though for Mum). Better don't think too much about delivery, just take it as the time comes.

We went to Takashimaya Baby Fair again after the tour. Supposedly to buy an additional bedset but ended up spending $80 over for 3 grean bean husks pillows. Well, we believe that it is essential for jumping babe so it's ok to spend the dollars.

More Shopping

Baey, mum left office late today and didn't feel like going home. So I headed to Kiddy Place to see if there is any nice things to buy for you.

Guess what? I started grabbing more stuffs from the shelves. Most of the things look cute and nice that I couldn't resist.

I like the blanket I have got for you. So sweet and nice but the price is a bit steep. Supposed to buy 1 packet of nappy pins and I ended up buying 2 packets. My excuse was they are of different sizes and colours and each packet only cost less than $3.

Then, I grabbed 2 nappy protectors, hairbrush and comb. There were a few pairs of socks that looked nice and many cute mittens with cute prints. Gosh, you have already 4 pairs of mittens at home and I couldn't resist.Bought another pair with the words lollipop baby and a pairs of rattle socks with 1 snail and 1 duck sewn on top of them.

What was the damage? About $70. Will buy more stuffs at the Takashimaya Baby Fair this Saturday :) Keep jumping, but lightly ok?

Baey... are u wondering how ur first clothes look liao? Mum is a smart shopper, so I bought u 2 pieces of jumpsuits at a bargain price. Here it is....

What else? Nappies, milk bottles, mittens, socks and lots more. You doting Dad bought you 2 tops and 2 dresses from Abu Dhabi... Gosh, your dress is expensive... Mum has no pressies from you Dad... ~Dad already so pian xin huh~

Mum bought him a watch instead for anniversary... Where is my pressent?

We continue to buy more stuffs for your arrival... shopped at Takashimaya Baby Fair and Babycare Festival at Expo. Your comfy cot and stroller has been ticked off on the shopping list. Left with minor stuffs... better get all these stuffs ready before Mum's mobility is reduced in the subsequent weeks...

More shopping and scans to go.... baey, stay healthy huh! Jumping babe is becoming kicking babe... Don't kick too hard on Mum's tummy ok? :)

20 Weeks

I have been lazy for the past 20 weeks... too tired to do anything... From surprise, to tired, sleepy, feeling unwell, aching, gastric pain, heartburn, vomitting...

Jumping babe is 20 weeks! Forever actively jumping and kicking me... Doc said you are a princess... hmm... wonder how come you are so active? Maybe like your dad?

Most of the shopping for your stuffs are done...clothes, cot, stroller, etc... Guess you must be excited... Remember to be good and stay healthy ok?

Dad and Mum will see you in about 20 weeks' time! Luv baey :*
